Introduction

Are you organised, discrete and a team player? Do you have experience with processing expense claims or HR compensation and benefits? We are looking for a dynamic person with good attention to detail to join our Personnel Accounting Section.  

As a member of the Personal Accounting Section, in the Accounting Services Group, you will be part of a small, versatile team responsible for processing the monthly salaries of the Organization, and for the reimbursement of various expenses to members of personnel. Additional tasks performed by the team include participation in regular accounting book-closes, financial follow up on specific activities, and the issuance of correct financial certificates. 

Functions

The Expense Claims Administrator will ensure the efficient and accurate control and payment of all financial requests relating to members of personnel. This amounts to approximately 25,000 claims a year. You will work in tandem with one other colleague, and will gradually take on the following responsibilities:

  • Controlling a variety of reimbursement claims involving members of the personnel.
  • Preparing the related payment files.  
  • Coding and recording of accounting entries.
  • Regularly monitoring specific accounts.
  • Maintaining personnel’s bank details.
  • Answering ad hoc queries from members of Personnel.
  • Performing diverse administrative duties, such as correspondence and filing.
  • Maintaining regular contact and good relations with both internal services and external contacts.

Qualifications

Technical certificate or general secondary education in the field of administration or a related field.

Experience:

Initial professional experience in finance and accounting – preferably in the field of reimbursements to employees or accounts payable.

Language skills:

Spoken and written English and French: ability to understand and speak both languages in professional contexts as well as the ability to prepare/draft and/or translate accurate texts in both languages.
