Description of taskUnder the direct supervision of the State Team Coordinator, the UN Volunteer State Advisor will be responsible for supporting the General Coordination of the project, as one of the references (focal points) in their respective Federation Unit, and will carry out specific activities aiming at the priority deliveries of the state executive plan agreed upon from a close articulation between the CNJ teams , UNDP, UNODC, and the network of strategic state actors (GMF / Court of Justice, Public Prosecutor's Office, Public Defender, Secretary of State responsible for criminal policies and organized civil society). To achieve this objective, the following indicative activities are planned:
- Prepare local diagnoses about the functioning of judicial execution and the criminal services provided for in the scope of the Project;
- Carry out specific activities in close dialogue with the General Coordination and under the monitoring and local technical support of the Pre-Trial Hearing consultant, supporting and advising on the strategic actions that will culminate in priority deliveries;
- Promote articulation and contribute to the mobilization of local actors to achieve deliveries of the state strategic plan and agreed activities;
- Elaborate subsidies for the production of technical reports to monitor the local implementation of the Project's strategic plan, as required by the General Coordination;
- Perform technical follow-up activities and qualitative monitoring of the products and goals foreseen in the project;
- Assist the systematization of good practices and new local methodologies developed within the scope of the Project;
- Perform other tasks, as required by the General Coordination of the Project
Postgraduate (lato sensu or stricto sensu) university degree in Law, Social Sciences or related areas.
Candidates with Bachelor's degree with two additional years of expertise will be considered.
Required experience: 96 Months Experience remark:- Minimum of 8 years of experience (professional and / or academic) in the areas of Justice, Human Rights, Prison System, Socio-educational system or similar areas;
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience of working with public sector partners, preferably with the Judiciary;
- Experience in coordinating / managing projects or public policies.
- Portuguese(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
