ICT / Database Administrator (m/f/d) - National position

Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001 and currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions, and provide relief after disasters. In support of our work in Yangon, Myanmar, Malteser International is looking for a motivated ICT / Database Administrator (m/f/d) - National position.

As ICT/Database Administrator, you will lead and manage the ICT and Database plan of Malteser International’s Myanmar country program. You will provide technical support to all country office teams and program teams and ensure the quality and relevance of ICT and Database activities.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that ICT equipment and systems are maintained responsibly
• Conduct server administration and network operation and maintenance tasks for smooth and un-interrupted and secure operations of these systems
• Administration of MI Myanmar MS SharePoint
• Ensure backup procedures are defined, documented and implemented for all official computers with full database recovery and archiving
• Perform trouble-shooting of malfunctioning ICT equipment and identifies feasible solutions for necessary repair/replacement
• Support development/maintenance of database and technical information systems in close collaboration with concerned technical departments and field locations
• Operate and maintain database management systems and perform related statistical analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or Bachelor of Computer Science/Technology or International Certified in related field
• Minimum 3 years’ active experience as ICT/Database Administrator
• Previous experience and excellent skills in setting up and maintaining server and administration of a small office network (wireless & VPN)
• Experience in Microsoft Access, SQL, VB and/or other relevant database applications
• Previous experience with MS SharePoint desirable, basic hardware maintenance
• Ability to work independently to a high standard
• Passion for the line of work and the ability to inspire others
• A creative and pro-active problem solving mind-set
• Able to travel within Myanmar

Conditions:

• Start date: As soon as possible
• Duty Station: Yangon, Myanmar
• Duration of contract: : 1 year (extendable) due to donor approval
• Salary according to qualification and experience: 13th Month Salary, Severance saving & Health Insurance
