Data Insights, Systems, and Architecture is responsible for the design and delivery of data and technology solutions at the IRC. We set the standard for high-impact results by establishing and cultivating relationships across the organization, driving continuous improvement, and delivering value through the implementation of high-quality, strategic data and technology programs.

Our Business Insights team is responsible for managing the data and analytics needs of our Fundraising, Communications, and Advocacy teams.

We are looking for a data product manager to support project and product management of our Business Insights portfolio.

Major Responsibilities:

Technical Product Management

•Drive planning and execution of project activities for products including analysis, specifications, planning, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, communications, budgeting and reporting

•Document business goals, business requirements, technical requirements, and technical specifications

•Develop business cases by interacting with stakeholders from multiple, globally distributed business units

•Build productive relationships with users and business owners

•Plan, execute, deliver user-focused solutions by effectively coordinating with technical and non-technical staff and consultants

•Write stories for product development

•Resolve issues unblock work

•Test and verify final products conform with specifications and exceed user expectations

Data Analysis

•Collect and interpret data

•Analyze results

•Identify patterns and trends in data sets

•Report the results

•Define new data collection and analysis processes

 

Communications

•Communicate regularly and proactively with project teams, internal and external stakeholders, and leadership

•Create presentations on products, programs, and process

Capacity Building and Support

•Develop training materials

•Deliver training and work with trainers to train people-users

•Troubleshoot and investigate issues

Job Requirements:

Education:BSc/BA in Computer Science, Economics, Public Health, Engineering or other relevant field

Language Skills:English required

Preferred experience & skills:

•3-5 years of professional experience

•Background in humanitarian or development programming

•French language

Working Environment: Standard office work environment
