The External Relations (ER) department was formed in 2020 and is comprised of 3 complementary functional areas: Private fundraising, Communications and Advocacy. The department is in the beginning stages of crafting a new, results-oriented strategy that will enhance IRC’s ability to ‘punch above its weight’ in private income, advocacy, and brand awareness.

Supporting this endeavor, and an integral part of ER, is the Global Partnerships and Philanthropic Services (GPPS) Unit. Reporting into the VP Global Partnerships and Philanthropy, GPPS consists of functional specialists across a variety of high-value fundraising support functions providing all elements of cultivation, support and stewardship to high value donors, partners, and supporters, comprising three pillars: Prospect Research & Management, Partner Engagement & Corporate Affairs, and Program Services.

This exciting opportunity is on the PECA team! PECA engages our high-value donors, partners, and supporters across the three income streams (Corporate, Foundations and Trusts, and HNWIs) through a number of support services including: operational partnerships, gift in kind policy and practice; global workplace giving; partner engagement and visibility. Additionally, the Manager will work closely with IRC’s Creative Studio team, responsible for all digital, print and video assets for the organization.

Job Overview & Major Responsibilities:

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, to help create digital assets (designed collateral and short videos) for our high value fundraisers to use in partner proposals, reports and donor engagement.

Specifically, the Manager Officer will work on donor-related engagements for income-generating activities, by:

•Supporting Donor Engagement’s events by designing invitations, presentations, and other collateral

•Designing visually engaging collateral and creating graphics specific to donor funding propositions and impact reporting

•Oversee design for high value fundraising projects, from conception to completion, including donor pitch decks, standardized design templates, reports, newsletters, marketing brochures, event toolkits, and campaign collateral

•Designing and creating materials that are visually engaging for current and prospective high-value partners and donors

•Managing all aspects of short video production for donor proposals, reports, and engagement opportunities, including script direction, footage research, implementation of graphics and animation, and editing of final product

•Maintaining brand consistency throughout all projects

•Collaborating with the Creative Studio team on larger strategic IRC moments as needed, such as World Refugee Day, International Women’s Day, End of Year, etc. to create collateral for high-value partners and individual donors

•Supporting on other projects as needed for high value partner and donor solicitation and cultivation

Job Requirements:

•Minimum Approximately 2-3 years of experience in design and asset creation, ideally in the fundraising sector

•Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite

•Knowledge of leading video, audio, and graphic tools including Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro. Knowledge of After Effects, a plus

•Proficiency in all aspects of post-production including, but not limited to, color grading, sound design, building sequences, asset management and organization and more

•Demonstrated ability to maintain positive, collaborative, productive relationships with staff at all levels

•Sound verbal and written communication skills as well as an ability to be clear and concise in all communications with a wide range of groups and individuals

•Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail are required

•Capable of collaborating and coordinating with other creative members of the team, as well as client stakeholders, to ensure that design and creative is on-brand and consistent with the organization’s design standards

•Passion for the IRC’s mission and commitment to private sector partnerships
