The CPcaseworkerwillberesponsiblefor providing social servicesensuring inlinewithkeychild protection principles including best interests of the child, confidentiality, do no harm andchild participation. The case worker will work closely with children involved in worst forms ofchild labor, and at-risk children, at high risk of harm providing case management services in linewith Lebanon’s Standard Operating procedures, and Global minimum standards of childprotection case management. You will work in and around Akkar, Minnieh, or Bekaa, conductinghouse visits, weekly and/or daily follow up on program cases; and monitoring children’s workinghoursonthestreetand/or in otherformsoflabourinlinewithcaseactionplans.Youwillalsobe responsible for closely coordinating with relevant external agencies for service provision andreferrals to national mechanisms to report cases of children at high risk of harm as per theNational Sop’s in order to ensure the child’s best interests. Throughout the implementation ofthe program you will be committed to supporting the National system through coordination,exploring opportunities for collaboration, information sharing on services, in addition toadheringtoNational policies,legal frameworketc.

MajorResponsibilities:

  • Identify cases of street, out of school, at risk of working children, and/or childrenworkinginother formsof labor athighriskof harm;
  • Provide case management services and maintain excellent documentation of files in linewith the National Standard Operating Procedures for case management & Global ChildProtectionCaseManagement Guidelines;
  • The case worker will assume full responsibility to assess the level of risk that a child isexposed to, and immediately report any cases that could evolve into high risk cases tothedirect lineManager;
  • Represent IRC well by maintaining regular communication with external referralagenciesfor serviceprovision, &understandingtherelevantcriteria;
  • Remain abreast of developments in the field of service provisions, which includesmaintaining and updating spreadsheet with mapped services and focal points for serviceprovisions;
  • Participate actively in weekly case management team meeting remaining open tofeedbackandself-reflection;
  • Maintain dedicated communication with all meaningful internal units within child labourandcapacitystrengtheningteamstohighlightchallenges,proposesolutionsandmonitor trends which could indicate negative or positive implications for children andtheirfamilies;
  • Ensure full responsibility & accountability –for maintaining, drafting and updatingreports which include case management reports, juvenile judge reports, and protectionfiles;
  • Conduct night shift work on a rotational basis with street educators- near locationswherestreet childrenwork;

Other

  • Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams;promptly reporting concerns or incidents to the SaWC manager and liaising withexternal parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for IRCprograms.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and SaWC manager to enable and developIRC programs.
