Job Overview:The Anti-Trafficking caseworker is responsible for working as part of a team to provide direct services and case management within the IRC Sacramento’s HOPE Anti-Trafficking Program. The caseworker  is responsible for providing direct, trauma-informed case management services to victims of human trafficking, including the provision of housing and shelter assistance, access to benefits and health services, service planning, support with accessing educational and employment resources, and referrals to legal and other services. This position reports to the Anti-Trafficking Program Manager.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of human trafficking laws, regulations, and local issues relating to human trafficking;

  • Provision of direct, comprehensive case management services to victims of human trafficking to ensure acute needs are met in a timely and culturally appropriate manner for each program participant;

  • Maintain case file documentation to conform to contract requirements as well as to reflect the needs of the individual client, including the maintenance of clear and concise case notes;

  • Assist with grant reporting on program objectives and accomplishments;

  • Identify new resources and services in the community. Build partnerships with coalition members and providers and work to connect clients available resources;

  • Build and maintain relationships with various local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. With their assistance, develop safety plans/protocols for VOT clients, staff and the office;

  • Attend local coalition meetings and participate in coalition events and trainings;

  • Supervise volunteers and interns associated with the program;

  • Travel in and around the service delivery area (Sacramento and the larger Northern California region) to deliver and coordinate services;

  • Participate in all program meetings, staff development activities, and fully engages as a member of the team;

  • Comply with all policies, procedures and protocols of the agency;

  • Other related duties as assigned.
