SCOPE OF WORK:

The Community Integration Supervisor oversees the implementation of community outreach and case management support services, including managing volunteer, mentor, and in-kind donations programs and Student Academic Readiness and the English Language Education (ELI) programming. This position is essential in supporting the office’s resource development, developing and implementing the local community integration strategy, and providing advocacy support. The Community Integration Supervisor manages a small team of staff, interns, and volunteers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Team Management

·Manage a team of staff, interns, and volunteers in accordance with IRC’s People Management Standards

Community Outreach & Advocacy

·In partnership with local leadership, coordinate local and state advocacy efforts and local community consultations with a wide range of stakeholders

·Raise awareness about refugees, resettlement, and the IRC’s work through public outreach events.

·Represent IRC at volunteer fairs and other community outreach opportunities

·Produce stories on volunteers and in-kind donations for production in outreach materials

·Plan and manage the production of special events

Program and Support Services Management

·Ensure grant requirements are implemented and met for assigned portfolio

·Satisfy reporting requirements

·Liaise with funder(s) including WTOR

·Recruit, manage, and deploy staff interpreters

·Recruit and train Office Reception Volunteers

Business Development

·As part of Abilene Senior Management Team, develop, implement, and monitor Strategic Action Plan

·As part of Abilene Senior Management Team, review funding gaps within the office and provide support with grant development, or develop grants as appropriate

·Assist in proposal development for long term, sustainable programming

·Other duties as assigned

Requirements

·College degree required.

·One - two years demonstrated record of success in creating and managing volunteer program and relationships with diverse community agencies.

·1-2 years supervisory experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRC’s core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality.Ability to lead in a way that recognizes that IRC’s work is best accomplished through the true collaboration of individuals from many cultures with a great variety of skills and perspectives

·Must have excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.Strong writing skills are required.

·Must be computer literate (PC) with knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint.

·Able to work independently to represent the agency to donors, volunteers and the community.

·Must be detail oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.

·Must have access to reliable transportation and maintain valid driver’s license & insurance

Working Environment:

·A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.

·Requires occasional weekend and/or evening work.
