The Private Sector Fundraising Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking an individual contractor to support the private sector fundraising team (individual giving, business and high value) and the communications team (volunteering and supporter engagement) to meet their objectives through the creation of supporter centric customer journeys. This role will build and deploy high quality data driven experiences and will be involved in the coordination, execution, monitoring, and optimization of email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The ideal candidate will be proficient in shaping and delivering audience first communication strategies across various owned and paid platforms with a particular emphasis on personalized email marketing.

How can you make a difference?

The Private Sector Fundraising Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking an individual contractor to support the private sector fundraising team (individual giving, business and high value) and the communications team (volunteering and supporter engagement) to meet their objectives through the creation of supporter centric customer journeys. This role will build and deploy high quality data driven experiences and will be involved in the coordination, execution, monitoring, and optimization of email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The ideal candidate will be proficient in shaping and delivering audience first communication strategies across various owned and paid platforms with a particular emphasis on personalized email marketing.


Work Assignment:

During the contractual period, the consultant will be expected to work on the following assignments. However, there may be some circumstances that the consultant may be required to work on some ad hoc assignments related to the fundraising objective.

Key responsibilities

Key tasks for each responsibility

1. Strategic customer journey mapping, implementation, and testing

 

  • Be the advocate for the 360-degree supporter. Facilitate supporter-centric communications experiences that achieve objectives across campaign types, programs and channels to maximize supporter LTV.
  • Responsible for delivering insight driven and effective supporter journeys across all channels
  • Collaborating with the Acquisition, Retention, Digital, High Value, Business, High Value, Volunteering, Supporter Engagement teams and other teams as required to develop supporter journey strategies
  • Development and implementation of best practice email marketing and journey building across all communications
  • Work with teams to develop testing frameworks and segment testing plans to enhance lead nurture, acquisition and retention goals

2. Ensure seamless execution of email marketing strategies

 

  • Responsible for the delivery and optimisation of communications across email and SMS platforms
  • Manage execution, ongoing reporting, quality control, approvals and optimisation of email campaigns including design, content, audience segmentation and testing plans
  • Coordinate campaign objectives across teams and ensure customer experience is front and centre
  • Ensure content is optimised for the email channel and consistent across other marketing channels

 

3. Perform regular analysis and reporting of campaigns performance and audiences to inform future planning

 

  • Support knowledge management activity across supporter journeys and supporter interactions by capturing and sharing key insights as required for the KM process.
  • Use Google Analytics and relevant data platforms to deliver timely performance reports on campaigns
  • Analyse audience insights and provide recommendations on audience segmentation
  • Keep track of email KPIs to optimise deliverability, engagement, and conversion metrics
  • Provide informed analysis to the wider teams driving evidence led best practices, including assets, web pages and frequency of message delivery to ensure high performance from our campaigns
  • Develop regular supporter behaviour analysis that can be used to profile, segment and optimise targeted donor journeys
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate email as part of their engagement, acquisition, and conversion strategies

 

4. Act as a champion for email marketing, ensuring UNICEF Thailand follows email and marketing automation best practice

 

  • Work with Salesforce marketing cloud partner to ensure best practice and optimum use of marketing automation platforms and strategies
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of campaign platforms including Email, website, and CRM
  • Ensure UNICEF is kept abreast of major trends, development, and opportunities by staying informed of new initiatives in the sector and attending training and product updates
  • Organise regular training to empower and enable internal stakeholders

 

 

5. Support UNICEF Thailand’s emergency response

 

  • In the event of an emergency, provide immediate support in setting up a fundraising response, coordinating and executing the email & SMS strategy and supporting other channels such as UA website, search and social media

 

 

6. New Product development

 

  • Participate in product development processes / campaigns to ensure new products and initiatives have effective journeys at the point of acquisition.

 


End Product(s): Weekly and monthly report detailing the key points, findings, and recommendation on all the work done, challenges and possible improvement during the contract period.


Duration of Contract:
  11.5 months with possibility of extension (1 November 2021 – 15 September 2022) – Full-time basis according to UNICEF working hours.


Working Location and
Official Travel: This role will mainly work in UNICEF Thailand Country Office. However, there may be some requirements for this consultant to in-country travel which UNICEF will be responsible for expenses.


To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • At least 3 years of digital marketing experience, including working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud products, including Email Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio
  • Proven track record in coordinating and executing Email marketing programs - Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred with special consideration for holding up to date Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification
  • Experience in A/B testing and dynamic templates
  • Demonstrated ability to curate and produce content to support engagement and conversion objectives via email communications
  • Understanding of Salesforce products integration, including Sales Cloud and Ad studio is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics with certification preferable
  • Design editing skills as well as HTML5/CSS and JavaScript preferred
  • Experience building profitable loyalty programs, using automation and dynamic data sets.
  • Experience collecting data and providing insights for campaign optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under time pressure while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Thai).

Preferred:

  • Experience with other marketing technologies and analytics tools (i.e. PowerBI, Google, etc.)
  • Having experience in SQL is desirable.
