Introduction

Bodhi Global Analysis Ltd has a varied and challenging role that requires an exceptionally organised, practical and proactive individual to provide professional, administrative and project support to the Managing Director of a rapidly expanding company operating in the field of humanitarian and development research. This role is focused on the operational side of the business, in particular supporting the MD who lives in East Africa. The MD manages the research teams, liaises with NGOs and international organisations and determines the research areas the company is to engage itself in.  

Key Roles and Responsibilities 

Key roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attend operational meetings, recording and communicating minutes and actions where required and following up accordingly.

  • Arrange meetings as requested for the MD and, if required, provide briefs prior to meetings.

  • Manage and respond to straightforward correspondence on behalf of the MD and produce draft replies for more complex issues. 

  • Point of contact for administrative/operational issues. 

  • Screen incoming communications/calls as necessary and deal with general enquiries or relay information as required.

  • Deal with highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

  • Plan ahead in order to anticipate busy periods and changing priorities.

  • Undertake additional and/or other responsibilities to meet business requirements.

  • Work extra hours in order to provide ad hoc support on an exceptional basis.

Key Personal Attributes 

The role requires a highly self-motivated, dedicated and practical person who possesses a broad range of people and organisational skills, including but not limited to: 

  • Previous experience in an executive role involved in wide ranging areas of a business.

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft 365, knowledge of publishing software an advantage. 

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and to suggest improvements to processes. Exceptional communication skills and an ability to work with a wide range of people. Exceptional organisational skills and 'can-do' attitude.

  • Sensitive and diplomatic management of multiple levels of employees with a high level of confidentiality.

  • Confidence in decision making and prioritisation of tasks.

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail 

Type of Employment

 

  • Full time, permanent position, Monday to Friday (home-based, working time zone UK)

  • Salary: £32,000 to £36,000, experience dependent 

  • Benefits: 28 days holiday plus UK bank holidays 

  • Company productivity bonus
