We focus our work on forest and climate impact commodities and related sectors.

We are currently seeking a Senior Services Manager to be based in North America. Applicants from other regions will be considered. The position is within the Tailored Services Unit of the Projects and Solutions division (PAS).

This position will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of PBN sustainability advisory services to ensure mission impact, efficient operations, and market uptake. Responsibilities will also include sales and market development and support in the management of the division.

Responsibilities and Scope

Global Service Development and Oversight

  • Ensure PAS Tailored Services are relevant, functional, and meet the current needs of the market.
  • Identify opportunities to increase Preferred by Nature's impact with new advisory services and market.
  • Ongoing review of PAS Tailored Services to identify areas for improvements in both process efficiency and quality. Develop work plans for improvements and oversee the plan implementation.
  • Develop tools and guidance for the implementation of different services, providing staff training as needed.
  • Monitor service implementation to ensure targets set in workplans are met while delivering top quality work products.

Sales and Marketing

  • In collaboration with the Market Development division (MDE) develop and facilitate the sales strategy for Tailored Services.
  • Develop and present proposals to clients in collaboration with MDE and Tailored Services staff.

Service Delivery

  • Support in the delivery of PAS sustainability advisory services including
    • Policy development and alignment
    • Benching marking activities and gap analysis of client sustainability systems
    • Supply chain engagement ;developing and implementing traceability and mapping systems for clients
    • Creation of bespoke audit standards and independent verification programs
    • Conducting commodity or country level risk assessments

Management

  • Support the PAS Director in the management of the division including financial management, capacity analyses and quality control.
  • Participate actively in PAS management meetings, providing updates and input to overall management of the division.
  • Participate in the (line) management, competence-building and operational organization of staff working within the service area.

Professional requirement

  • Minimum bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in sustainability sector, business management or related field
  • Experience in environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy development and impact assessment preferred
  • Experience in sustainability service delivery or project management and or related field
  • Experience in environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy development and impact assessment preferred
  • Experience in consultancy management or operations a plus
  • Experience in project design and implementation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, sales, and project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and a self-starter with excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills and takes initiative in leadership.
  • Excellent English language fluency (speaking, writing)

Position details
