Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

UNICEF started to work in Lebanon in 1948 and established its office in 1950. For more than 70 years we’ve been working closely with the Government of Lebanon, other UN agencies, international and local NGOs, universities, and more than 100 partners to meet the needs of disadvantaged children in Lebanon. Responding to lifesaving needs and ensuring equal access to quality public services, the impact of our work is felt in every aspect and every sphere of society. How can you make a difference?

While the adolescent period is characterized by a period of heightened vulnerabilities, it also provides a window of opportunity for successful transition to adulthood and equality especially for the most disadvantaged adolescents. Identifying these most disadvantaged adolescents and designing our interventions to address the barriers that limit their fulfilment of rights to development, protection and participation is instrumental to breaking cycles of deprivation and poverty for these adolescents.

The youth program is designed to provide Adolescents and Youth with relevant skills building and competency development to empower them and enhance their access to decent job and income generation opportunities as well as increasing their participation and civic engagement through provision of comprehensive package of career guidance, Vocational trainings, functional and life skills development.
Within this perspective UNICEF support adolescents and youth with relevant employment services opportunities where they can practice the acquired skills and knowledge as well as establish links with the private sector, during which youth can in the same time generate incomes.
Due to the deteriorated economic situation and resulting socio economic fact influencing the interests, the educational plans and general situation of adolescents and youth and their families, UNICEF adapted its program and shifted approaches and intervention to match with increasing and reoccurring changes in the overall socio-economic situation and the needs of the adolescents and youth in a way to:

- Ensure food security for adolescents and youth and their families.
