Overview of position

Under the overall supervision of the Head of Sub-Office, the direct supervision of the Field Area Coordinator in Zarzis and in coordination with the Head of Assistance Unit, the successful candidate will be responsible for management of the organization's emergency shelters in the South of Tunisia.

Role objectives

1.Assist the organization's Zarzis sub-office in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of shelter operations and shelter-related activities for migrants in vulnerable situations.

2.Toensurethecoordinationofactivitiesforthesmoothrunningoftheshelter.

3.Provide support for the identification of needs to improve the reception capacity ofthe center.

4.Ensure the proper management of supplies and equipment for the operationofthe centeraccordingto the rulesand procedures ofthe organization.

5.Coordinatetheworkoftheteaminchargeofsupportingthemanagementofthecenter.

6.Coordinatethereceptionandintakeofvulnerablemigrantsintheshelter.

7.Recordandupdatethedatabaseofmigrantswhohavebeenreceivedbythe shelter and follow up their case beyond the exit from the shelter.

8.Liaise with local authorities, non-governmental actors and any relevantstakeholdersin the region.

9.Organizecoordinationmeetingswithlocalpartners.

10.Prepareregulardetailedreportofthesheltersactivitiesoranyotherrequiredreport.

11.Participateinvariousmeetingswithpartnersandscheduledworkshops,ifnecessary.

12.Ensure visibility of the organizations and the donor and theresults achieved throughout theimplementationof the programs.

13.Provide support for the pre-departure orientation and reintegration and monitoring of beneficiaries of the organization's -executedAVRRprograms as well as integration and emigration.

Education: 

Bachelor's degree in social sciences,developmenteconomicsormanagementfrom an accredited academic institution,oranequivalent combinationofeducation andprofessionalexperience.

Experience: 

·Atleast3yearsofprofessionalexperienceinthemanagementofdevelopmentand migration projects inthe socialfieldor inhumanitarian assistance.

Skills: 

·Experience with Microsoft Office products; especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
