The Role

The Technical Advisor, Program coordination (TAPC) is a member of the Program Implementation Management Team (PIMT) based in Monrovia. The primary responsibility to ensure effective coordination and collaboration between Program Implementation and other program teams including National Community Health Systems MERL, Digital Health and Upskill teams). Participates to develop health system strengthening policies, and strategies, in cross-team events and activities representing the PIMT.

This position is only open to Liberian Nationals candidates.

What You’ll Do

  • Liaise with other LMH program teams/projects (MERL, QoS, QoA, Institutionalization-Sub National TA, Digital Health, Upskill) to enhance coordination of work streams that affect implementation in the managed counties.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Senior Technical Coordinator, Program Implementation and Administration to ensure the counties are duly informed of developments at the country-level regarding program implementation.
  • Collaborate with other LMH program teams/projects to conduct joint activity planning, where necessary, and ensure that support and resources required are delivered to the county(ies) where needed.
  •  Support the DPI participate in programs-relevant scheduled meetings of other teams as representative of the Program Implementation Management Team.
  • Contribute to content development of Health Strengthening Policies and Implementation Strategies as representative of the PIMT.
  • Represent the PIMT in the NCHA Policy revision processes and the subsequent follow-ups 
  • As may be requested by the DPI, participate in policy and implementation roll-out events in/outside Monrovia as representative of PIMT.
  • Make field trips to the counties with the objective to appraise challenges related to program coordination and elevate to relevant team leads to take require action(s).

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree equivalent in relevant field of public health (clinical knowledge preferred) management or social science.
  • Demonstrate a proven knowledge in health systems designs and designs of innovations projects to strengthen health systems and improve the quality of health programming.

For Liberia the range is: $12,272 - $20,453 depending upon experience doing an equivalent role.
