The Human Resources Benefits Coordinator is responsible for working with our Benefits Manager to support our HQ and Expatriate staff with their benefits and general benefit-related questions. This role will also be involved in helping maintain and develop our Wellness and Wellbeing initiatives through a variety of events, online programming and information sharing globally.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ professional experience working in Benefits or Human Resources in a mid-sized organization. A Bachelor’s degree will count towards equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws including ADA, EEO, FMLA, ERISA laws and related 403(b) and 457 regulations.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with staff, vendors, etc. in a customer-oriented manner while developing effective working relationships and demonstrating solution focused problem solving skills..
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
  • Great attention to detail, ability to work independently under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of Excel and formatting.
  • Knowledge of automated/manual benefits processes to enter, review and verify accuracy of data to perform audits, run reports, etc.
  • HRIS experience, preferably UKG.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Processes employee life event changes in UKG (HRIS).
  • Assists with bill reconciliations, including pulling UKG reports and JAMIS Bill creation.
  • Coordinates semi-monthly Benefits Orientations for both HQ new hires and Expatriates.
  • Assists with Wellness & Wellbeing initiatives, including creating, posting and managing content for our internal SharePoint and Teams sites.
  • Processes external vendor portal employee benefits enrollments and terminations.
  • Adds semi-monthly benefit changes to internal payroll tracker and reviews semi-monthly payroll for reflected changes.
  • Reviews, researches and responds to benefits inquiries.
  • Works with the Benefits Manager to review and edit payroll, 403(b) and 457 retirement items prepared by IRI’s Payroll team.
  • Review and process 403(b) and 457 payroll contributions into employee accounts via vendor websites for both headquarters and expatriate staff.
  • Assist with communicating FMLA policies and procedures to staff, and the administration of the FMLA process from the initial leave request to the return to work.
  • Backup for the Benefits Manager role, including semi-monthly Benefits Orientations for both HQ new hires and Expatriates.
