Result of Service
The ultimate result of the service of the consultant will be used for the elaboration and further development of the National Productive Capacities Gap Assessment and the formulation of the Kenyan Programme for fostering productive capacities and structural economic transformation for implementation in subsequent years and facilitate the full and effective execution of the project in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the chief of the Productive Capacities and Sustainable Development Branch, the consultant will:
(a) Work closely with the other national consultant in regard to the NPCGA exercise in particular to align with the contribution by the stakeholders encapsulated in the Summary Findings of the High-level Policy Dialogue.
(b) Link Consultant to Government Institutions that are the repository of policy pronouncements/documents that will provide context for the NPCGA exercise.
(c) Provide analytical reports on the appropriate Coordination mechanism that will correspond to the Executive Order issued by the incoming Administration detailing Organization of Government. This is critical in light of the multi sectoral nature of the PCI Categories and Indicators.
(d) Follow up on the Medium-Term IV Plan of the Vision 2030 and advice on best way to align the Programme to the MTPIV for synergy and coherence and most importantly engendering ownership
(e) Mobilize the Stakeholders for the envisaged Validation Workshop of the NPCGA.
(f) Contribute to the elaboration of the Programme of Support
(g) Facilitating the smooth implementation of the project.
(h) Launching and validation of the National Productive Capacities Gap Assessment (NPCGA) for Kenya at central and regional level as well as between cities and rural areas and oversees the work of national consultants
Advanced university degree, Master, in economics, finance, development economics, or a related field is required.
At least 7 years of related experience is required, most of which should be with a focus on trade and development challenges related Kenya, Africa and wider developing countries is required
Fluency written and spoken in English is required
