We Effect is now recruiting an experienced Fundraising Officer. The role is part of the Fundraising and Communications Unit at our Head office in Stockholm. 

 

Main responsibilities

We are currently in the process of diversifying our financing and need to develop new fundraising methods, and as a Fundraising Officer, a big part of the job will be to work proactively with raising funds from private donors and smaller companies, both existing and new ones. The role is both strategic and operational and requires close collaboration with colleagues, both in the marketing department and other departments and units, in Sweden and internationally. You need to be able to plan, execute and follow up fundraising activities and produce comunication material, including fundraising copy, to attract and engage donors.

 

Main tasks

  • Engaging and recruiting new donors, both monthly donors and one-off donations, through various activities (e.g. F2F, telemarketing, regular fundraising and campaigns)
  • Develop the relationship with existing donors to increase loyalty and fundraising
  • Plan, execute and follow up fundraising activities
  • Use relevant tools, methods and systems to develop our relationship with donors and increase fundraising
  • Produce communication material, including fundraising copy work, both digital and print.
  • Analys and follow-up of activities in relevant tools (CRM, GA4)
  • Ensure that all the work we do is rights-based

 

About you

You are a creative, solution- and goal-oriented relationship builder who wants to drive development forward. It is essential that you are comfortable with working independently and as a part of a team. We expect that you communicate diplomatically and are humble to ensure a good deal for all parties. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful fundraising activites, campaigns and retention work.

 

Required qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent within a relevant field, e.g. Marketing, Sales, Development studies or similar

  • 3+ years of relevant working experience 

  • Experience of Fundraising 

  • Experience of working with communication

  • Experience of working with budgets and towards clearly set goals

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English
