DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly competent and committed young person for a 6-month part-time internship, starting in September 2023.

Our work is driven by a strong commitment to environmental and social justice. We coalesce decades of experience in social impact and systems change design to support public as well as corporate actors to co-create the regenerative and resilient world that we deserve to live in. Our approaches are diverse, multi-actor focused and fuelled by systems thinking: Where most people see a tree, we are trying to embrace the forest.

The work you will focus on is highly diverse and you will have the opportunity to take on different roles in several projects. We are particularly excited to find support for our projects with the Generalitat de Catalunya. For the last 2 years, we have been working together with the Catalan government to illustrate complex dynamics and to empower actors across all sectors (public administration business, academia and civil society) to identify crucial intervention points for some of the major social and environmental sustainability challenges faced by regional populations (e.g. sustainability of the Catalan food systems, the challenge of chronicity and dependency in the region of Bages).

Some of your tasks will include:

  • Supporting the co-creation of systems maps to identify key intervention points within social and environmental sustainability challenges;
  • Research on industry ecosystems that entail crucial barriers and enablers for sustainability transitions (e.g. agricultural industry);
  • Designing sustainability experiences that may help corporate actors translate sustainability from theory to practice;
  • Creation of marketing materials and content for our LinkedIn page,

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to specialize in areas you are particularly passionate about. Our objective is to co-design this internship with you to align it with your personal and professional goals as well as our projects.

Some of the qualities we are looking for in our future intern include:

  • Driven by a sense of purpose and commitment to social and environmental justice;
  • Organised and professional working style;
  • Perfect English speaking and writing skills (native or C2 level); professional working competencies in Catalan and Spanish will allow you to support our collaborations with the Generalitat de Catalunya;
  • Excellent research skills;
  • At least a beginner level knowledge of systems thinking and a keen interest to learn more;
  • Keenness to learn and develop, complete extra courses and attend events;
  • Graphic design and a sense of how to make documents and websites look good is a bonus!

You can find out more about our work on our website and LinkedIn page.

COMPENSATION

We, unfortunately, cannot offer any financial compensation at this point. We, however, will gladly assist you in applying for financial support through Erasmus+ and Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programs. All our previous interns/apprentices have so far received funding from these programs.
