The Regional Operations Section, UNICEF East Asia Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO) is seeking a rapporteur for Deputy Representative Programme and Operations Meeting (DROPS) during 12-16 June 2023 in Bangkok, to capture the main discussions and reflection of experiences from Country Offices and provide summary report to the Regional Chief of Operations and Regional Chief of Programme and Planning. Also, potentially, the rapporteur might be required for other note talking and report writing for other UNICEF meetings.

The Regional Operations Section, UNICEF East Asia Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO) is seeking a rapporteur for Deputy Representative Programme and Operations Meeting (DROPS) during 12-16 June 2023 in Bangkok, to capture the main discussions and reflection of experiences from Country Offices and provide summary report to the Regional Chief of Operations and Regional Chief of Programme and Planning. Also, potentially, the rapporteur might be required for other note talking and report writing for other UNICEF meetings.
Work Assignment, Expected deliverable and Delivery schedule:
Assignment: The Rapporteur is required to work at the meeting venue to;
• Ensure that s/he gets familiar with the topics of the concerned meeting/s, names of countries, and organizations of participants
• Meet before the meeting/s to define the plan, tasks and steps applied in the meeting/s
• Document the questions/discussion/remarks/replies from interactions among speakers /facilitators and participants that link to each session
• Document the key findings, conclusions, and suggestions during the meeting/s
• Document the action plans and follow up actions
• Develop and write a draft report of the meeting for the organizers’ comments/reviews
• Consolidate comments and revise the meeting report for final submission to the organizers.
Expected deliverable: Final report to consolidate all findings/conclusions and actions from/during the meeting and incorporate comments/feedback to the draft meeting report.
Delivery schedule: during 8 – 21 June 2023 (7 days in total)
- 0.5 day for preparation
- 5 days at the meeting venue
- 1.5 days for drafting report and finalization
Duration of Contract: 1 June – 31 December 2023
Duty Travel: No travel involved.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- University Degree in English language, international relations, or related areas (15%)
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience with an international organization (40%)
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills in English (30%)
- Others (15%)

• Ability to work under pressure in an organized and systematic way, unsupervised and independently
• Willingness to cooperate with country focal points to facilitate their outputs
• Able to maintain attention for extended periods of time and to maintain high quality outputs
