Mission and objectives

Context

The Local Governance and Social Cohesion Project (GoLCoS) is a partnership project initiated by the Government of Burkina Faso in collaboration with the UNDP, the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the private mining company ESSAKANE IAMGOLD SA SA. It is based on the National Economic and Social Development Plan (PNDES II) 2022-2025, the Action Plan for Stabilisation and Development (PASD) 2022-2025, the Priority Action Matrix (MAP) and the reference documents for Cycle III of decentralisation (the vision, the national policy and the ten-year decentralisation strategy 2017-2026). It is part of the UNDAF and the UNDP Country Programme. It is part of the decentralisation budget programme of the Ministry of Territorial Administration, Decentralisation and Security (MATDS) and is classified in category 3 of projects and programmes. The overall cost of implementing the project is approximately US$17,856,777, of which US$10,105,080 represents the contribution of the TFPs and US$223,000 the national counterpart. The GoLCoS project will run for five years from December 2020.

Task description

We are seeking the help of 10 online volunteer to translate a document from French to English. The document is a project Document of Local Governance and Social Cohesion (GOLCOS) and is 100 pages length. Each online volunteer will translate 5 to 10 pages while the others will do the proofreading.
