Mission and objectives

The United Nations Development Programme is the UN's global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. We are on the ground in 166 countries, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. As they develop local capacity, they draw on the people of UNDP and our wide range of partners.

Context

The government of Timor-Leste (GoTL) with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) received funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) to implement the “Safeguarding Rural Communities and their Physical Assets from Climate induced disasters in Timor-Leste” project from 2020 to 2026. The online volunteer will support the project in translation of course modules of various courses related to the infrastructure activities undertaken in the project under the guidance of the Project Support Coordinator of the UNDP Project management Unit for the GCF Project and in coordination with IOB Team Lead. Online volunteers will also receive feedback on their quality of work, a certificate of appreciation upon successful completion of the assignment, and will be given credit of support where applicable.

Task description
