Team Assistant – Africa and Overseas Branches (OSBs)
Location: Moorgate, London (hybrid role between home and office, at least 2 days per week in the office)
12 months Fixed Term Contract 
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £23,720 (plus Inner London Weighting of £3,344, if applicable) per annum

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and well-organised individual with administrative skills to provide us with office support. In this varied role you'll be providing support to the British Red Cross Africa and OSBs team in the International Directorate. 
A Day in the life of a Team Assistant…
Your primary stakeholders are BRC Head of Africa and regional teams based both in the UK and across Africa. You’ll provide a high level of administrative and office support. Whether it is facilitating team efforts to respond to crisis, or supporting our teams with our longer term partnerships with African Red Cross /Red Crescent National Societies. Your support will help to ensure the smooth running of the team.
You'll liaise with different colleagues in various locations and will be a key point of contact for many requests coming to the region.
Some of the tasks you may be involved every day can include:
  • Organising meetings and training
  • Fielding queries and requests from various stakeholders
  • Arranging and facilitating travel bookings
  • Providing financial and reporting administrative support to the team
  • Supporting recruitment processes when needed
What we are looking for
Previous experience of administrative tasks, excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities along with a solution orientated approach. You are a competent IT user, have experience with AI tools, and can adapt to and pick-up new systems quickly. Experience in managing diaries, email and financial reporting would be an advantage.
 
You are able to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels and across cultures. You can build relationships and networks quickly. Ability to speak French and an interest in Africa and international humanitarian context would be an advantage.
