Job Summary

Summary of Key Functions

Monitor and evaluate all programme and donor-funded projects as per the Country Office (CO) results framework and individual project log-frames.

Ensure that proper monitoring and evaluation processes occur at the project level.

Ensure that UNFPA sectors and cross-cutting themes are monitored effectively.

Support the compilation of information and reports, and proposal development processes in a timely manner.

Ensure the capacity of staff and partners in relation to project monitoring and evaluation is improved, and knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the CO is facilitated.

Education: 

University Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, Economics or related field with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience is required;

Or high school with a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience is required;

Knowledge and Experience:

Proven experience with logical framework approach and other strategic planning approaches.

Planning and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation methods and approaches, usage of monitoring and evaluation tools, information analysis and report writing.

Knowledge of current development policies and practices.

Work experience in the UN/ INGOs/ donor agencies is desirable.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and Arabic (particularly writing and oral communication skills).
