SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 136 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year. To support us with this important responsibility we are now looking for a committed:

Intern for Environmental Engagement (f/m)
20 hours/week – limited contract for 2-3 months; starting date in Feb/Mar 2020

Location: International Office Innsbruck/Austria

Tasks and Responsibilities

The Environmental Engagement Intern will be responsible for the data collection in order to create the annual environmental reports for the International Office which is required for the EMAS certification.

In this context we are looking for a motivated intern to support with our daily tasks:

  • Collect data from invoices
  • Put data form invoices into the key figure tables
  • Check all information of the environmental handbook if they are still valid and actual
  • Check the “Rechtsregister”/legal register
  • Assist creating the environmental report – together with our Communications & Brands team
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master student or recent graduate in the field of Business Administration, Environmental studies or similar
  • Good command of German and English language skills
  • Strong organizational skills and accurate working style
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Pro-active and independent style of working
  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU
