SOS Children`s Villages International is a non-governmental social development organization that supports children and adolescents without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through care, education, health and emergency relief services, and advocates for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. To support us with this important responsibility, we are now looking for a:

IPD ADVISOR
(base Bolivia, México, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador or Argentina)

Mission of the position

Responsible for the orientation, support and training of the Member Associations (AM) and the OIR to achieve the goals and objectives of fundraising, increasing the development of institutional alliances. Support the Institutional Partnership Development (IPD) area in establishing strategic partnerships with institutional donors. He/she will also be responsible for creating opportunities for diversification and mobilization of financial resources. Lead the development of new and existing institutional alliances with the objective of diversifying and increasing financial resources for the organization's programs and the recovery of operating costs. Development, implementation, coordination and facilitation of institutional financing strategy processes throughout the Latin American and Caribbean region.

Requirements

  • University degree in social sciences, international development or relevant fields 
  • High understanding of project management 
  • Good analytical skills 
  • Demonstrated skills in writing proposals and writing reports
  • Minimum experience of 3 years working at a higher level in the development sector
  • Knowledge of major official donors, with proven ability to develop and maintain effective working partnerships with donors 
  • Understanding of the local political and socio-economic development context and funding environment 
  • Proven track record in the formulation and presentation of institutional financing proposals
  • Remote teamwork experience, including providing remote training and support 
  • Good knowledge of standard software packages (Word, Excel, email, Windows). Handling the database packages will also be helpful 
  • English language at an advanced level, spoken and written
