UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, hope

Throughout the years, UNICEF has implemented hundreds of programs across the world and have generated a lot of knowledge, good practices and lessons. To ensure that UNICEF systematically applies its knowledge to continuously improve programming and organizational performance particularly in light of challenging and constantly evolving times, UNICEF launched its first formal organization-wide Knowledge Management (KM) Strategy covering the period of 2021-2022. The KM Strategy highlights three KM goals and nine strategic priority areas, with each priority area led by a UNICEF Division. The Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP), given its strong KM performance and experience in rolling out a learning program, has taken on the leadership role for Priority # 5 which is on ‘Building knowledge and skills on KM’.

At the same time, PFP has also recently launched its own formal KM Strategy for 2021-2022, aligning to the organizational KM strategy and highlighting areas that will help achieve its KM vision of becoming ‘A Division that implements topnotch knowledge management where knowledge is seamlessly captured, shared and applied to accelerate fundraising and partnerships results that improve the lives of children around the world’. The PFP KM Strategy focuses on three goal areas -- leveraging knowledge sharing for improved fundraising and partnerships results, building capacity on KM and on PFP’s technical work and improving access to and dissemination of appropriate knowledge.

PFP is therefore looking for an individual contractor to support the implementation of both the organization wide as well as the PFP KM strategies. He/she will work under the supervision of PFP’s Knowledge Management Manager and will collaborate with other KM specialists and focal points across UNICEF, as well as other members of the PRIME team in PFP, to help deliver on our KM priorities.
