The Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) section within the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division works with National Committees and UNICEF country offices to maximize financial and non-financial support for children. PSFP plays a leadership role in the organization creating vision, setting goals, and working across the UNICEF family of fundraisers and partnerships specialists to achieve them. Over the past two years, the amount of workload associated with the Deputy Director (PSFP)’s office has increased greatly. Several projects and activities require planning support, coordination and follow-up with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including, among others, in relation to the new UNICEF Global Private Sector Resource Mobilization Strategy 2022-2025, the yearly Fundraising Leadership Programme, and overall PSFP capacity building plan, knowledge management and monthly meetings with Fundraising Directors and with the Private Sector Fundraising Strategy Group. The huge impact of the Ukraine crisis on the section’s resources has further exacerbated this issue and is likely to for many months to come. Appropriate backfill and better directed resource is needed to ensure that the Deputy Director’s office operates effectively to both lead and proactively support the full section in delivering results for children. We are seeking for an individual contractor temporarily to provide planning surge support for a period.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, hope
