National Consultant will provide technical assistance to the Government in development of online resources and training modules aimed at ensuring child protection and social protection of children and their families, enhancing the skills and abilities of the social service workforce, and advancing the use of integrated case management.

How can you make a difference?

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

 Advanced university degree in the social sciences, or related field
 At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in social and child protection
 At least three (3) years of professional experience in social service workforce capacity development
 Excellent analytical thinking and strategic planning skills, communication skills, and facilitating skills
 Effective communication, interpersonal skills and sensitivity to diverse cultural contexts and situations
 Excellent knowledge of Macedonian language, knowledge of Albanian language is an advantage
 Verbal and writing skills in English are desirable
 Previous experience with the UN will be considered an asset

• Financial proposal indicating the daily fee of the expert.

Mobility is a condition of international professional employment with UNICEF and an underlying premise of the international civil service.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. The candidate may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid).
