Expected duration

¿ The duration of the consultancy is for 6 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
¿ Remuneration for this consultancy will be $1,705.00 and depend on fund availability, qualifications, and relevant experience.
¿ The incumbent will be only in Gaza.

Duties and Responsibilities

¿ Serve as a consultant to help guide the UNRWA team to effectively use Microsoft Power Platform with best practices and methodologies
• Conduct technical and analytical work in developing, designing, and/or analyzing technical solutions using Portal, Canvas, and Model-driven Power Apps by utilizing Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, or other databases as the backend data storage model and connectors.
• Work with the UNRWA team to Identify, analyze, and architect technical solutions using Power Platform and Azure.
• define the Design principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with enterprise architecture to fully exploit the capabilities of Microsoft Power Platform
• Help, mentor, guide, and support teams to effectively use the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate Power, BI, and Power Virtual Agent)
• Guide the development team on the needed APIs or service integrations with a firm understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources.
• Address and remediate security vulnerability findings in Power Apps-based applications.
• Provide technical support to the built application(s).
• Ensure overall platform quality and performance
• Provide training on MS Power Platform to UNRWA team
• Perform other similar duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications:

¿ A university degree or master's degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related disciplines;

Experience:

¿ A minimum of 6 years experience for a bachelor's degree and 4 years for a master's degree in application development or management, including 3 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate.
Good experience in training, knowledge transfer, and change management processes related to the PowerApps platform and management.

Desirable Experience:

¿ Experience in MS Azure DevOps.
¿ Knowledge & experience in Agile Development.

Language:

¿ Fluent in spoken and written English.

The incumbent is responsible for one of IMTD’s Software Engineers or Senior Technical Leads. The incumbent will provide specialized expertise in power platform

The consultant will report administratively and technically to the Head Information Technology Service Centre at Headquarters Gaza.
