Context

What is the background of this project and its objectives? * The UN Volunteer Program Liberia Field Unit works with partners to mobilized and place qualified, highly motivated UN Volunteers into development programming and to promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. There are currently 52 volunteers including national and international serving with seven UN agencies in various capacities. The purpose of this opportunity is to increase visibility on the work of serving volunteers and the Unit’s work through content creation for different social medical platforms (Twitter, Instagram & Facebook. This role will focus on regularly posting contents (photos, stories, interesting news articles, reports etc.) across the three active social media platforms. The role will also include posting on the arrival and departure of volunteers (welcoming & farewell posts). To provide access to contents, the OV will be added to serving UN Volunteers' social media chatrooms where photos and updates are regulary shared.

Task description

Working under the supervision of UNV Country Coordinator-Liberia, the online volunteers will help improve the visibility of Liberia Field Unit’s work by producing social media content featuring the work of serving volunteers. • Create content from volunteers’ activities and the Field Unit’s work and post an average of 3-4 social medial posts weekly on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook • Create and post arrival and farewell post of incoming and departing volunteers • Track the performance of social media pages, using analytics to report and inform strategy for improve
