BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, working towards achieving a world with zero hunger. We are seeking to fill the position of Salesforce Administrator, based in the Technical Support Team (TST) of the Government Partnerships Division (PGG) at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy.

WFP relies entirely on voluntary contributions to finance its projects. Relationships with fundraising partners from the public sector are pivotal in supporting WFP projects in all the countries where we work; saving lives and reducing hunger across the globe. WFP uses Salesforce (SF) as its donor relationship system and a Salesforce admin is needed to support with the management of the system.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with the Salesforce Manager and the Head of TST to support the management of the Salesforce platform and ensure that it is tailored to meet the information needs specific to WFP’s engagement with partners.
  2. Carry out functionality changes; create workflow and validation rules; customise objects, fields record types and page layouts; and, support the management of the entire back end of the system to ensure processes are automated where possible and that the system streamlines working efforts for both private and public sector partnership managers.
  3. Improve reports and links to reports to make information within the system easier to locate and increase the general user-friendliness of the system.
  4. Support the management of the software testing process, which includes creating test cases, establishing protocols and using appropriate testing environments.
  5. Support the management of the user and role hierarchy that facilitates over 700 users from almost 100 offices to have varying levels of accessibility to private and public sector records within the system.
  6. Provide support to all users of the systems on how to use the system. Improve the written guidance within the system so that users can also refer to that for support.
  7. Collaborate with IT on integrations with other WFP corporate tools and systems.Seek ongoing enhancement of the tool and keep informed about updates, improvements and extensions that would benefit WFP’s use of the tool.

  9. Complete ad-hoc tasks related to the management of donor intelligence in SF as requested by the Salesforce team and PGG division.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

Undergraduate level university degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Information Management, International Development, Business Administration, Social Sciences or other related fields.

 

Experience:

- At least 2 years of experience working as a Salesforce Administrator, ideally in a large international organisation.

- Must be a qualified Salesforce Administrator. Must be familiar with managing and customising custom objects, workflow rules, validation rules, visualforce pages, lightning web components and working between production and sandboxes.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

- An understanding of how technology can optimize the work of often geographically distributed groups and teams.

- Familiarity with an international working environemnt.

 

Languages: Fluency (level C) in English language.
